Alphacool Apex AM5 Contact Frame – čierna 5100065

CPU contact frame engineered to prevent processor bending and optimize cooler mounting pressure on AMD AM5 sockets. The Alphacool Apex AM5 Contact Frame replaces the stock Independent Loading Mechanism (ILM) with a precision-machined aluminum frame, ensuring a perfectly flat CPU surface for maximum thermal transfer. Its anodized black finish resists corrosion while providing electrical insulation via included washers. This frame is essential for enthusiasts seeking lower temperatures, higher overclocking stability, and prolonged CPU lifespan.

Advantages

The Apex frame eliminates the uneven pressure distribution caused by the stock AM5 retention mechanism, which can warp the CPU's integrated heat spreader (IHS) over time. By clamping the processor evenly across its entire perimeter, the frame restores full contact between the IHS and your cooler's base plate. This leads to a measurable drop in core temperatures—often 5-10°C under load—and prevents thermal paste from pooling in the center. The rigid aluminum construction also reduces micro-vibrations, improving long-term reliability for high-end Ryzen 7000 series chips. Installation is straightforward: remove the original ILM, place the frame over the CPU, and secure it with the four included M2.5 screws. No special tools are required, and the anodized coating acts as a barrier against accidental short circuits.

Suitable for

• AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors (Raphael) on AM5 motherboards
• Enthusiasts aiming for maximum cooling efficiency and overclocking headroom
• Users who have noticed uneven thermal paste spread or high core temperature deltas
• Builds where the stock ILM has caused visible CPU warping or cooler mounting issues

Recommendations

Pair this contact frame with a high-quality thermal paste and a robust CPU cooler to fully exploit its benefits. Ensure your motherboard is removed from the case during installation to avoid flexing the PCB. For best results, torque the screws gradually in a cross pattern until snug—do not overtighten.
