The reverse-angle thread and aggressive tooth profile bite instantly into hard water ice, while the tapered tube reduces friction for easier driving. The foldable crank handle stays out of the way when racked but deploys quickly for efficient screwing. Anodized aluminum and treated steel resist corrosion, ensuring long-term reliability in wet alpine conditions.

Ideal use cases

• Ice climbing on waterfall ice or alpine ice
• Mountaineering on technical routes
• Glacier travel where crevasse rescue anchors may be needed
• Building anchors in frozen terrain

Good to know

Color coding by length allows quick identification on your rack. The 13 cm size is ideal for solid ice conditions, offering a balance between holding power and weight. Always inspect the screw after use and sharpen teeth as needed to maintain performance.
