The Chenbro 384-10501-2101A0 storage drive tray is a 3.5" mounting accessory designed to hold and secure standard desktop and server hard disk drives. Constructed with durable materials and finished in black, the tray enables straightforward installation and provides stable support for drives inside enclosures, chassis or server bays. It is intended to simplify drive replacement and upgrade operations while maintaining correct alignment and connection with drive interfaces.

Advantages

The tray offers a solid mechanical fit for 3.5" HDDs and ensures reliable retention during transport and operation. Its robust construction reduces vibration and helps maintain drive positioning for consistent connectivity. The black finish provides a neutral appearance that integrates with most server and workstation interiors. Design choices focus on compatibility, ease of handling and long-term durability.

Suitable for

• Mounting 3.5" hard disk drives in server or workstation bays
• Replacing or upgrading storage drives in existing systems
• Use in rack-mounted enclosures, desktop chassis and storage drawers
• Temporary drive staging during system maintenance or data migration

Key specifications

• Form factor: 3.5" drive tray compatible with standard 3.5" HDDs
• Material: metal/plastic composite construction for durability and vibration control
• Finish: black
• Mounting: designed for tool-less or screw-secured installation depending on chassis
• Compatibility: fits common server and workstation drive bays supporting 3.5" drives

How to use

Install the 3.5" hard drive into the tray by aligning the drive mounting holes with the tray's mounting points and securing it according to the tray's attachment method (screws or retaining clips). Slide or place the assembled tray with the drive into the target bay, ensuring the drive interface aligns with the host connector. Fasten the tray in the bay if required by the chassis design, then reconnect power and data cables as appropriate and verify drive recognition in the system BIOS or operating system.

Recommendations

Handle the tray and drive on an ESD-safe surface and avoid excessive force when inserting or removing the tray. Use manufacturer-recommended screws or clips if securing the drive, and confirm compatibility with your chassis before installation. For optimal cooling and longevity, maintain adequate airflow inside the chassis and monitor drive temperatures after installation.
