The Bosch 2 608 900 457 hole saw with a diameter of 3.5 cm is designed for cutting holes in materials commonly encountered on building sites and during renovations, including brick, drywall, soft ceramic wall tile and softwood. This single-piece EXPERT Construction Material hole saw is built to deliver consistent, clean cuts and to endure frequent use in mixed construction materials.

Advantages

The hole saw is made for durability on job sites and maintains cutting performance over multiple tasks. Its design provides clean, precise holes in a range of softer and masonry-type materials, reducing the need for multiple different saws. The compact 3.5 cm diameter makes it suitable for many standard installation and retrofit tasks, and the Bosch colour coding (blue, red) helps quick identification among tools.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in brick for pipe and conduit installation
• Cutting openings in drywall for sockets, switches and fixtures
• Making holes in soft ceramic wall tiles for plumbing fittings
• Drilling through softwood for cable passages and mounting

How to use

Fit the hole saw to a compatible arbor and secure it to the drill according to the arbor manufacturer’s instructions. Mark the hole centre on the work surface, start drilling at low speed to create a pilot mark, then increase speed and apply steady, even pressure. For masonry like brick, use a hammer drill mode if recommended and remove dust from the cut periodically. For tiles and drywall, avoid excessive force and keep the drill steady to ensure a clean edge. After cutting, clear debris and check the hole for correct size.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves and dust mask) and select the correct drill speed and arbor compatible with the 3.5 cm hole saw. For prolonged cutting in masonry, allow the tool to cool and clear debris to maintain cutting performance.
