FERPLAST Swing 15 Brown technopolymer flap 412×482 mm is a dog door designed for medium and large dogs, offering a compact and lightweight solution for inserting a pet access point into doors or panels. The unit features a swing-style flap made of durable technopolymer in a bronze tone, with a frame depth of 96 mm and overall dimensions of 412 mm width by 482 mm height. Weighing 2.12 kg, this door is intended to give dogs safe, independent entry and exit while maintaining a low profile and simple installation footprint.

Advantages

The Swing 15 combines a tough technopolymer flap and frame with a shallow installation depth, making it suitable for many door and panel types. Its swing mechanism allows smooth, silent operation for dogs of varying ages and sizes. The lightweight construction simplifies handling during installation without sacrificing structural stability. The neutral bronze colour integrates discreetly into a range of interiors and exterior doors.

How to use

Select a suitable location on a door or panel that accommodates the 412×482 mm opening and the 96 mm frame depth. Follow the manufacturer’s cutting and mounting instructions to create a clean aperture; ensure the frame is secured evenly and sealed against drafts if required. Allow the dog to familiarise itself with the Swing 15 by propping the flap open initially and encouraging passage using treats or positive reinforcement. Once the dog is comfortable, let the flap operate freely so the animal can enter and exit independently.

Recommendations

Check door and panel thickness before purchase to confirm compatibility with the 96 mm frame depth. Regularly inspect the flap and frame for wear or obstructions, and keep the surrounding area clear to avoid trapping. Supervise initial use sessions until the dog reliably negotiates the flap, and avoid leaving small animals in confined carriers or cages unattended for long periods.
