Cover for electrical switch Homematic IP 156171A0 in grey is a rigid faceplate measuring 86×86×16 mm designed to replace or protect the front of compatible wall switches. The plate provides a neat visual finish and mechanical protection for the switch mechanism while matching standard wall switch openings. It is intended for use with Homematic IP installations and integrates with compatible actuator and rocker components where applicable.

Advantages

The grey cover is made as a rigid faceplate with the precise dimensions 86×86×16 mm to ensure stable mounting and a flush appearance. It protects internal switch components from dust and mechanical impact and offers a consistent surface for interchangeable push button rockers, including variants with arrow markings for shading and blind control. The neutral grey colour supports discreet integration into a range of interior designs and established frame systems.

Suitable for

• Replacing or repairing damaged front plates of standard 86×86 mm wall switch openings
• Installations where a matching faceplate is needed for Homematic IP brand switches and compatible actuators
• Integration with interchangeable push button rockers used to control shutters, awnings and blinds

Key specifications

• Material: rigid faceplate construction (durable plastic)
• Colour: grey
• Dimensions: 86 × 86 × 16 mm (width × height × depth)
• Compatibility: designed for standard wall switch openings and Homematic IP brand switch systems

How to use

Remove the existing cover or frame from the switch assembly according to the switch manufacturer’s instructions and disconnect power if required. Align the Homematic IP 156171A0 cover with the switch mechanism and secure it into the standard 86×86 mm opening. If used together with a push button rocker or actuator, fit the rocker onto the mechanism and ensure any supplied adapters are correctly seated for a snug fit. Reconnect power and verify the mechanical fit and function of the switch or shutter control before regular use.

Recommendations

Use this faceplate with compatible Homematic IP rockers and actuators for a consistent mechanical fit. For shutter, blind or awning control, choose a rocker with arrows and the appropriate adapter already inserted to ensure correct operation with the actuator. Follow local electrical safety guidelines when installing or replacing switch covers and consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
