Indukčný približovací senzor Panasonic GX-F15A NPN – model GX-F15A

The Panasonic GX-F15A inductive proximity sensor with NPN output is a compact industrial sensor designed for contactless detection of metallic targets. It uses an electromagnetic sensing principle to detect the presence or absence of metal objects and generate a discrete NPN switching signal compatible with NPN-type control inputs. The sensor’s small form factor makes it suitable for installation in confined machine spaces, conveyor systems and assembly lines where reliable metal detection is required.

Advantages

The sensor delivers stable detection of metal objects without mechanical wear due to its non-contact operation, ensuring long service life under normal industrial conditions. Its compact size allows flexible mounting in tight spaces while offering fast switching response for position sensing and object detection tasks. Designed for easy integration, the NPN output type is compatible with many standard PLC inputs and control devices used in automation.

Suitable for

• Position sensing on production machinery
• Object detection on conveyor systems
• Counting and presence monitoring in assembly lines
• End-of-travel and limit detection in automated equipment

Key specifications

• Sensor type: Inductive proximity sensor
• Sensing target: Metallic objects
• Output type: NPN switching output
• Mounting: Compact form factor for constrained spaces
• Detection principle: Electromagnetic induction
• Typical applications: Position sensing, object detection, automation tasks

How to use

Install the sensor in a position that provides a clear path to the metal target, taking into account the sensor’s sensing range and mounting orientation. Connect the NPN output to a compatible input on the control system or PLC according to the manufacturer’s wiring conventions, and provide the rated supply voltage. After wiring, adjust mechanical alignment if necessary and verify switching behavior by moving a representative metal target into and out of the sensing zone. Secure mounting and proper cable routing will help maintain consistent detection performance.

Recommendations

For best results, keep the sensing face free of deposits and avoid mounting near large sources of electromagnetic interference. Ensure the target material and size meet the sensor’s effective sensing range; non-ferrous metals may yield different sensing distances than ferrous metals. Match the NPN output wiring to the control input type and follow safety and grounding practices specified for the installation environment.
