How to use

Install the drive into a compatible 9 mm slim optical bay in your desktop or small form-factor chassis and connect it to the motherboard using a SATA data cable and to power via a SATA power connector. After connecting, power on the PC and verify detection in the system BIOS or operating system. Use standard disc-burning or media player software to read, write or play CDs and DVDs. Follow operating system prompts for driver installation if required; most modern systems recognise SATA optical drives automatically.

Recommendations

Use high-quality, manufacturer-recommended blank DVDs or CDs for best burn reliability and store written discs in protective cases to prolong archival life. Ensure the drive is securely mounted in the bay to prevent vibration; avoid using excessive force when inserting or ejecting discs. For system installations, verify the optical media integrity before starting OS installation to reduce the chance of read errors.
