The Lone Peak 9+ stays true to Altra's foot-shaped philosophy, allowing your toes to relax and spread naturally for better stability and comfort on uneven ground. The zero-drop platform encourages a low-impact midfoot strike, while the grippy MaxTrac outsole keeps you sure-footed on loose dirt, rocks, and roots.

Ideal use cases

• Trail running and ultramarathon training on technical terrain
• Hiking and fastpacking with a light pack
• Mixed surface runs that transition from pavement to dirt
• Runners seeking a wide toe box and neutral gait support

Good to know

These shoes feature a hook-and-loop Gaiter Trap at the heel to secure gaiters against debris. The quick-dry mesh upper sheds water and dries fast after stream crossings or wet conditions. With a moderate cushioning level, they balance ground feel with protection for all-day comfort.
