Otvorená prilba POC Obex BC MIPS Hedvig Wessel Ed. — ABS/polykarbonátová škrupina, MIPS

POC Obex BC MIPS Hedvig Wessel Ed. is an open-face helmet combining a hard-shell construction of ABS and polycarbonate designed for cycling, urban freestyle riding and backcountry use. The helmet integrates MIPS rotational impact protection, RECCO rescue reflector and an NFC medical ID system, delivering layered protection and practical features for outdoor activities where impact resistance, ventilation and eyewear compatibility matter.

Advantages

The hard-shell construction using ABS and a thicker polycarbonate outer layer increases durability and impact resistance while maintaining a defined shell shape. MIPS technology reduces rotational forces transferred to the head in certain angled impacts. Integrated RECCO reflector improves the chances of detection in organised search-and-rescue operations, and the NFC medical ID provides instant access to medical information when needed. The design is optimised for compatibility with goggles and eyewear and includes ventilation to manage airflow during activity.

Suitable for

When it may not be suitable

This open-face design does not provide full-face coverage, so it may not be the best choice for activities that require chin and jaw protection, such as downhill mountain biking in extreme terrain or motorised sports. If lightweight ventilation or a very low-profile road cycling helmet is the priority, a specialist road model may be more appropriate.

How to use

Place the helmet squarely on the head so the front edge sits just above the eyebrows. Adjust the retention system and chin strap until the helmet is snug but comfortable; the helmet should not shift when you shake your head. Ensure MIPS components are not tampered with and that the RECCO reflector and NFC medical ID are unobstructed for functionality. Pair the helmet with compatible goggles or eyewear for optimum coverage and comfort during activity.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

Use this helmet for backcountry and urban freeride activities where a durable hard-shell, MIPS rotational protection and RECCO detection add safety. Replace the helmet after any significant impact and keep the NFC medical ID information up to date for emergency responders.
