Rackmount IT RM-SW-T12 is a 1U rack mount kit designed to install the SonicWall TZ570W firewall appliance into a standard 19-inch server rack. The kit provides a compact, secure mounting solution that keeps the TZ570W aligned with rack rails and positioned for straightforward access to ports and indicators. It is intended for use in server rooms, network closets and other IT environments where a consistent, space-efficient arrangement of network appliances is required.

Advantages

The RM-SW-T12 offers a rigid metal frame and mounting brackets that reduce movement and vibration, improving the physical security of the installed SonicWall TZ570W. How to use

Mount the RM-SW-T12 into available 1U space in a 19-inch rack using appropriate rack screws and cage nuts. Attach the SonicWall TZ570W to the kit’s brackets following the appliance alignment and securing points, ensuring the device is level and stable. Route network and power cables through the rack openings and position them to avoid strain on connectors. Verify that front indicators and ports remain accessible and that there is adequate clearance for airflow around the appliance.

Recommendations

Install the kit in a rack position that supports adequate ventilation and does not obstruct airflow. Use suitable rack hardware and torque settings for screws to avoid damage. Periodically check mounting screws and cable strain relief, and route Ethernet and power cables to separate channels where possible to reduce interference and simplify maintenance.
