Refraktor Sky-Watcher Evostar 72 ED F6 OTA — 72 mm apertúra, 600 mm ohnisková vzdialenosť

The Sky-Watcher Evostar 72 ED F6 OTA is a compact refractor telescope optical tube assembly with a 72 mm aperture and a 600 mm focal length, featuring extra-low dispersion (ED) glass to reduce chromatic aberration. The OTA is intended for use with a compatible mount and eyepieces and is suitable for both visual observing and astrophotography. Its short focal ratio and high-contrast optics deliver sharp images of the Moon, planets and many deep-sky objects while remaining portable for field use.

Advantages

The ED objective lens improves color correction, minimizing false color around bright objects and enhancing image clarity. The F6 focal ratio provides a balance between wide-field views and sufficient magnification for planetary detail when paired with appropriate eyepieces or cameras. The optical tube assembly is lightweight and compact, facilitating transport and setup. Built with quality optical elements and a focuser compatible with standard eyepieces and imaging equipment, it supports both visual observation and camera attachments.

Suitable for

• Lunar and planetary observation

Key specifications

• Aperture: 72 mm
• Focal length: 600 mm
• Focal ratio: f/6
• Objective: extra-low dispersion (ED) glass
• Optical configuration: refractor OTA
• Mechanical compatibility: standard 2"/1.25" focuser adapters supported (via typical accessory fittings)
• Intended use: visual observation and astrophotography

How to use

Attach the Evostar 72 ED optical tube assembly to a suitable equatorial or alt-azimuth mount using the tube rings or mounting foot provided by your mount system. Install a compatible eyepiece or imaging camera in the focuser and achieve focus using the focuser knobs; for photography, perform fine focus and framing with live view or a focusing aid. Balance the OTA on the mount and perform polar alignment or mount alignment routines as required by your mount type. Start with low-power eyepieces to locate targets, then switch to higher magnification or camera settings for detailed imaging or observation.

Recommendations

For best results, pair the Evostar 72 ED OTA with a stable mount rated for the combined payload of the OTA plus cameras and accessories. Use quality eyepieces and a field flattener or reducer if you require a flat, wide imaging field. Allow the optics to reach thermal equilibrium with the outside temperature before critical observing or imaging sessions to reduce image distortion.
