The Bosch 1 600 A01 TG1 Single Straight screwdriver is a compact manual tool designed for precision fastening. Weighing 190 g, this straight screwdriver features a flat tip and a balanced, minimal design that supports accurate control and access in confined spaces. Its simple construction focuses on reliable torque transfer from hand to fastener for routine assembly, adjustment, and repair tasks.

Advantages

The straight-shaft design provides direct force transmission for predictable turning behavior. At 190 g the tool is lightweight enough for extended use without excessive hand fatigue, while still offering sufficient mass to stabilize the hand during precise operations. The flat tip is suitable for slotted screw heads and delivers consistent seating on compatible fasteners. The single-piece manual construction minimizes moving parts, increasing durability and reducing maintenance needs.

• Assembly and adjustment of furniture and fittings with slotted screws
• Hobby and craft work that requires controlled torque
• Maintenance tasks in tight or shallow recesses where a compact straight screwdriver fits

Key specifications

• Tool type: straight manual screwdriver
• Tip type: flat (slotted)
• Quantity: 1 screwdriver
• Weight: 0.19 kg
• Design: single-piece manual construction for durability

How to use

Select the screwdriver so the flat tip matches the width and thickness of the slotted screw head. Position the tip fully into the screw slot to avoid cam-out, then apply steady axial pressure while turning the handle in the required direction. For removal, turn counterclockwise; for fastening, turn clockwise. Use controlled force appropriate for the screw material and workpiece to prevent damage to the screw or surrounding parts.

Recommendations

Inspect the tip regularly for wear and replace the tool if the tip becomes rounded. Use the correct tip width for each screw to maintain engagement and reduce slippage. Keep the screwdriver clean and dry; avoid using it as a pry bar or chisel to preserve tip geometry and user safety.
