Serverová základná doska ASRock ROMED8-2T/BCM, AMD EPYC 7003, socket SP3, ATX, 8× DDR4 DIMM, 3× RJ-45, 10× SATA III, 7× PCIe x16 Gen4

The Asrock ROMED8-2T/BCM motherboard is a server-grade ATX mainboard built around an AMD chipset with Socket SP3, designed to support AMD EPYC 7003 processors. It provides eight DIMM slots for DDR4-SDRAM memory, integrated Aspeed AST2500 graphics with 512 MB memory for basic remote management and video output, and multiple storage interfaces including M.2 and SATA III. The ATX form factor and server-focused component layout make this board suitable for rack or tower server configurations that require high compute density and expandability.

Advantages

This motherboard combines enterprise-oriented features in an ATX footprint: support for high-core-count AMD EPYC 7003 CPUs on Socket SP3, eight DDR4 DIMM slots for large memory capacity, on-board management graphics via the Aspeed AST2500, and flexible storage options with M.2 and SATA III connectors. The board’s server-focused design and standard ATX size simplify integration into many server chassis while providing the connectivity and memory capacity needed for virtualization, database, or compute workloads.

Suitable for

• Enterprise and small datacenter servers
• Virtualization hosts and hyperconverged systems
• High-memory database servers and in-memory caching
• Compute-dense applications and scientific workloads

Key specifications

• Form factor: ATX
• Processor socket: Socket SP3 (supports AMD EPYC 7003 series)
• Memory: 8 DIMM slots, DDR4-SDRAM support
• Graphics: Integrated Aspeed AST2500 with 512 MB video memory
• Storage interfaces: M.2 and SATA III support

How to use

Install an AMD EPYC 7003 processor into the Socket SP3 CPU socket following standard ESD precautions and the motherboard’s installation guide. Populate the DDR4 DIMM slots according to the memory population rules provided by the board manual to achieve optimal performance and channel interleaving. Connect storage devices to the available M.2 and SATA III ports, and attach power connectors and cooling solutions compatible with the ATX form factor. Use the integrated Aspeed AST2500 for basic console access and remote management setup when configuring the server BIOS and firmware.

Recommendations

For stable server operation, use ECC DDR4 modules if supported by the chosen processor and memory configuration, follow the motherboard manual for correct memory population, ensure adequate chassis airflow and CPU cooling, and keep system firmware updated for security and compatibility.
