ShiverPeaks sieťový kábel S/CONN 08-44015 0,5 m Cat8.1 S/FTP čierny

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 08-44015 0.5m Cat8.1 S/FTP Black is a short patch cable designed for high-speed data links in modern network installations. Compliant with Category 8.1 specifications, this 0.5 metre cable uses S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 terminations on both ends to support demanding applications requiring high bandwidth, low interference and reliable signal integrity.

Advantages

The cable’s S/FTP construction combines an overall shield with individually shielded pairs to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, improving performance in crowded cable environments. Its Cat8.1 rating supports higher frequencies and data rates compared with earlier categories, while the compact 0.5 m length minimizes excess cabling in dense rack or patch-panel setups. The standard RJ-45 connectors ensure compatibility with common switches, routers and servers.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network equipment in racks and cabinets
• High-bandwidth links for servers, switches and network appliances
• Structured cabling where reduced interference is required
• Data center top-of-rack or switch-to-switch connections over short distances

Key specifications

• Length: 0.5 m
• Cable category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield plus individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 termination to the network port of your switch, router or server and the other end to the corresponding device or patch panel port. Ensure both connected devices support the intended data rates; the short 0.5 m length is suitable for direct patching within racks or between adjacent equipment. Handle the cable without excessive bending or tension near the connectors to preserve shielding and connector integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat8.1 S/FTP cable in short-distance, high-bandwidth scenarios such as top-of-rack or switch-to-switch connections. Avoid running the cable alongside high-power electrical lines and maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius to prevent signal degradation.
