Sieťový kábel ShiverPeaks BS75205-50HS sivý 50 m Cat5e SF/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75205-50HS Grey 50m Cat5e SF/UTP is a 50-metre Ethernet cable manufactured to meet Cat5e performance standards. Constructed with SF/UTP (also known as S-FTP) shielding, this cable combines a foil drain and an overall braided shield to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The neutral grey jacket suits installations in homes, offices, and light commercial environments where unobtrusive cabling and consistent data transmission are required.

Advantages

SF/UTP shielding improves signal integrity in environments with potential electromagnetic interference from nearby electrical equipment. The Cat5e specification supports reliable Gigabit Ethernet connections at typical LAN distances while maintaining backward compatibility with Fast Ethernet equipment. The 50 metre length provides flexibility for medium-span runs without additional couplers, and the grey outer jacket offers a low-visibility finish that blends with most interior settings.

Suitable for

• Wired LAN connections between switches, routers and endpoints
• Home networking and multimedia streaming setups
• Office cabling for workstations and VoIP phones
• Temporary or permanent installations where reduced interference is needed

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e performance class
• Length: 50 metres
• Shielding: SF/UTP (overall braided shield with individual foil and/or drain conductor)
• Conductor type: twisted pair copper (unshielded pairs within overall shield)
• Outer jacket colour: grey
• Typical applications: Ethernet LAN, Fast/Gigabit Ethernet over standard distances

How to use

Run the cable between network devices keeping bends gentle and avoiding sharp kinks. Terminate the cable ends with appropriate RJ45 connectors or punch down to patch panels using tools compatible with shielded Cat5e cable and ensure the shield is properly grounded where required. When routing near power lines or large electrical devices, maintain separation to further minimize potential interference. Test each run with a network cable tester to verify continuity, pair orientation and acceptable attenuation before finalising installation.

Recommendations

For best performance, use shielded connectors and properly ground the cable shield in installations exposed to significant electromagnetic sources. Keep cable length within recommended limits for Cat5e to ensure reliable data rates and avoid running parallel to high-voltage power cables for long distances.
