Skartovačka genie 440 X modrá — krížový rez 4 x 38 mm, 8 l kôš, 300 W

Genie 440 X Blue is a compact cross-cut paper shredder designed for light office or home use. It cuts paper into 4 x 38 mm particles using cross shredding, accepts paper only (does not shred credit cards or CDs), and collects waste in an 8 L basket. The unit has a typical power consumption of 300 W and a two-tone blue/white housing. Its footprint and low weight make it suitable where space is limited and quiet operation is preferred.

Advantages

The cross-cut mechanism produces small 4 x 38 mm particles that improve confidentiality compared with straight-cut shredders. An 8 L collection basket keeps the unit compact while allowing several sheets to be shredded before emptying. With a typical power consumption of 300 W and a reported noise level around 72 dB, the Genie 440 X Blue balances performance and reasonable operating noise for small workspaces. The lightweight design and modest dimensions make it easy to move and position near a desk.

When it may not be suitable

The Genie 440 X Blue does not shred credit cards or CDs, so it is not suitable when destruction of plastic media or optical discs is required. Its 8 L basket and compact design mean it is intended for light to moderate use; it may not be appropriate for high-volume shredding in busy offices. The specified noise level around 72 dB may be noticeable in very quiet environments.

How to use

Place the Genie 440 X Blue on a stable, level surface and ensure the collection basket is correctly inserted. Feed a few sheets of paper into the feed slot, observing the maximum recommended sheet count to avoid jamming. The unit is designed for paper only; do not attempt to feed credit cards, CDs, or other non-paper materials. Empty the 8 L basket regularly to maintain shredding performance and switch the device off and unplug before removing jammed paper or performing maintenance.

What to consider before purchase

Recommendations

For best results, feed no more than the recommended number of sheets at a time, remove staples or paper clips if possible, and empty the basket before it becomes overfilled. Use the unit on a stable surface and follow safety instructions in the manual to reduce the risk of jams and extend the life of the shredder.
