Teleskop Skywatcher Dobson 8 inch Flex Tube Go-To SW-1320 – 8 inch apertúra, Dobson montáž, počítačom riadené Go-To

The Skywatcher Dobsonian 8" Flex Tube Go-To (SW-1320) is an 8-inch aperture Dobsonian reflector telescope with a collapsible (flex) tube and computerized Go-To pointing. It combines a large primary mirror for improved light gathering with a simple, stable Dobsonian base for convenient visual observing. The integrated motorized Go-To system enables automatic target acquisition and tracking, while the collapsible tube reduces storage size and eases transport. The telescope is intended for visual deep-sky and planetary observation and for users who want both manual stability and automated pointing.

Advantages

The instrument offers an 8-inch (≈203 mm) primary mirror that provides significant light-gathering capability compared with smaller amateur instruments, improving visibility of faint deep-sky objects and planetary detail. The Dobsonian mount delivers a stable, low-vibration platform with intuitive alt-azimuth motion for easy manual positioning. The flex (collapsible) tube design reduces the telescope's packed dimensions for transport and storage without altering optical focal length. The onboard computerized Go-To system adds automatic slewing and tracking of catalogued celestial objects, simplifying target acquisition for observers of varying experience levels.

How to use

Set up the Dobsonian base on a level surface and attach the flex tube assembly according to the supplied mounting points. Extend the tube to its operating length and secure any locking collars to maintain optical alignment. Power the Go-To controller from the recommended power source and perform a basic alignment procedure using bright reference stars or built-in alignment routines. Once aligned, select targets from the controller database and allow the motors to slew the telescope to the chosen object. Use standard eyepieces to adjust magnification and focus using the focuser; tracking can be engaged to follow objects across the sky automatically.

Recommendations

For best results, collimate the primary and secondary mirrors before observing, especially after transport. Use an appropriate power supply that meets the controller's voltage and current specifications. Allow the telescope to reach thermal equilibrium with outdoor conditions to minimize tube currents and improve image stability. When transporting, collapse the tube and secure optical components to prevent shock or misalignment.
