Softbox Elinchrom Rotalux Squarebox 1000×1000×420 mm, čierna/strieborná

Elinchrom Rotalux Squarebox 1000×1000×420 mm in Black/Silver is a square-shaped studio softbox designed to deliver controlled, even, and soft illumination for portrait, product and fashion photography. With a 1000 mm width and height and 420 mm depth, this softbox uses a black exterior and silver interior to maximise light reflection while reducing unwanted spill. Compatible with Elinchrom mounts, it is intended for use with professional continuous or flash heads and folds down for compact storage in the included carrying bag.

Advantages

The Rotalux Squarebox offers outstanding light quality through high-grade diffusing and reflecting fabrics and a second internal diffuser that smooths light and reduces harsh shadows. Its construction allows quick setup and an umbrella-style folding action for easy transport and storage. The kit includes a translucent deflector to further soften shadows, grey rip piping for a professional finish, heavy-duty locking with a wing nut and easy snap locks for secure assembly. Optional accessories, such as hooded diffusers and high-quality Lighttools grids, expand control over light spread and direction.

Suitable for

• Studio portrait photography requiring soft, even facial illumination
• Product and e-commerce photography where controlled reflections matter
• Fashion and editorial shoots needing large, flattering light sources
• Any studio setup using Elinchrom-compatible flash or continuous heads

How to use

Assemble the softbox by inserting the softbox rods into the central shaft and securing them with the snap locks, then tighten the heavy-duty wing nut to ensure stability. Attach the softbox to a compatible Elinchrom head using the appropriate speed ring (sold separately). Fit the internal diffuser and external translucent deflector to achieve the desired softness; remove or add the deflector to adjust shadow definition. Position the softbox at the required distance and angle from the subject to control falloff and coverage, and fold the softbox down into its carrying bag for transport after use.

Recommendations

The Rotalux Squarebox performs best when paired with an Elinchrom mount and a suitable speed ring; use the internal diffuser for very soft light and the translucent deflector to further reduce shadow contrast. For more directional control, consider adding optional Lighttools grids or a hooded diffuser. Store the softbox dry in its carrying bag and avoid forcing the rods during assembly to maintain long-term performance.
