SSD disk Corsair 1 TB M.2 PCI Express 4.0 NVMe MP600 ELITE

The CORSAIR MP600 ELITE PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD (1 TB) is a high-performance storage expansion designed for use with the PS5, offering up to 1 TB additional capacity in a low-profile M.2 form factor. Utilizing PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and high-density 3D TLC NAND, the drive provides fast sequential read and write performance and is engineered for sustained operation with an aluminum heatsink sized to fit inside the PS5.

Advantages

This SSD delivers PCIe Gen4 speeds with sequential read speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 6,500 MB/s (performance varies by capacity and is reduced on PCIe Gen3). The low-profile aluminum heatsink helps dissipate heat and reduce thermal throttling inside the PS5 chassis. Built with 3D TLC NAND, the drive balances performance and endurance and includes a manufacturer-backed 5-year warranty for long-term reliability.

Suitable for

• Expanding PS5 internal storage for additional game installations
• Faster load times for large game files and open-world titles
• Console users needing a compact M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD that fits PS5 physical constraints

Key specifications

• Form factor: M.2
• Interface: PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe
• Capacity: 1 TB
• Sequential read: up to 7,000 MB/s (varies by capacity)
• Sequential write: up to 6,500 MB/s (varies by capacity)
• NAND type: 3D TLC
• Heatsink: Low-profile aluminum compatible with PS5
• Weight: 0.063 kg

How to use

Power off the PS5 and remove the console cover and M.2 bay cover according to Sony’s instructions. Install the M.2 SSD into the M.2 slot, secure it with the mounting screw, and replace the bay cover. Ensure the heatsink fits properly within the PS5 enclosure. After power up, format and initialize the drive in the PS5 storage settings before installing games or moving data.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, connect the drive to a PCIe 4.0 slot and keep the PS5 in a well-ventilated location. Verify that the installed heatsink does not interfere with the PS5 bay cover before full assembly. Performance and endurance depend on capacity and system conditions; reduced speeds apply when used on PCIe Gen3 platforms.
