6.3 mm stereo 3-pólový audio konektor samec ShiverPeaks 22220504 — kovové puzdro

The 6.3 mm Stereo 3-Pole Audio Connector ShiverPeaks 22220504 — Metal Housing is a standard 1/4" stereo jack plug designed for reliable signal transmission in musical instruments, studio equipment and custom audio cables. The metal housing provides mechanical durability and electromagnetic shielding, while the three contacts carry left, right and ground signals for balanced stereo reproduction in consumer and professional setups. This connector is suitable for repair work, cable assembly and replacement of worn or damaged plugs where a robust metal shell and stable contact geometry are required.

Advantages

The metal housing increases mechanical strength and protects internal contacts from external interference and wear. The three-pole stereo configuration ensures correct separation of left and right channels and a stable ground connection. The connector conforms to the common 6.3 mm (1/4") physical standard, allowing wide compatibility with instruments, amplifiers, mixers and audio interfaces. Simple construction enables straightforward cable soldering and secure mounting for long-term use.

Suitable for

• Repairing instrument and headphone cables
• Assembling custom audio leads for studio and stage
• Replacing worn 6.3 mm stereo plugs on amplifiers and mixers
• Connecting stereo outputs from keyboards and audio interfaces

Key specifications

• Connector type: 6.3 mm (1/4") stereo, 3-pole (TRS)
• Housing material: metal shell for improved durability and shielding
• Contacts: three conductors for left (tip), right (ring) and ground (sleeve)
• Mounting/solder method: rear-entry solder style suitable for standard audio cables
• Application: instrument leads, studio cables, signal-level stereo connections

How to use

Strip the cable jacket and separate the conductors according to the cable type, tin the conductors and solder each to the respective contact (tip, ring, sleeve) following the connector’s wiring layout. Insert the soldered assembly into the metal housing and secure any strain relief or clamping parts supplied with the connector. Verify correct wiring and continuity with a multimeter before final assembly. Ensure the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends or tension at the solder joints for long-term reliability.

Recommendations

Use this 6.3 mm stereo connector with 2-conductor shielded instrument or audio cable for best results. For applications exposed to frequent mechanical stress, check the housing and solder joints periodically and replace the connector if signs of corrosion or intermittent contact appear.
