Advantages

This 120W HP power supply offers stable voltage regulation and consistent output under typical operating conditions, helping to maintain battery charging efficiency and reliable system performance. The adapter includes integrated safety features such as thermal protection and electrical fault prevention, and its compact inline design and detachable AC cord make it suitable for transport and convenient storage. The connector and output characteristics are engineered to be compatible with notebooks that require similar power ratings.

Suitable for

• Replacing a lost or damaged 120W HP laptop adapter
• Carrying as a travel spare for business trips or commuting
• Using in home or office environments where a 120W supply is specified
• Providing power for high-performance notebooks that draw up to 120W

Key specifications

• Output power: 120 W
• AC input: universal mains compatibility (typically 100–240 V AC)
• Output type: regulated DC output suitable for supported HP laptops
• Protection features: overcurrent, overvoltage and short-circuit protection
• Physical form factor: external inline power brick with detachable AC cord
• Connector: manufacturer-specific laptop power plug compatible with supported HP models

How to use

Connect the detachable AC cord to the adapter and plug it into a suitable mains outlet. Insert the adapter's DC connector into the laptop's power jack until it is fully seated. When connected, the adapter provides power to the notebook and charges the battery according to the laptop's internal charging management. To disconnect, remove the DC connector from the laptop first and then unplug the AC cord from the mains. Allow the adapter to cool before storing if it has been used for extended periods.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with compatible HP laptops that specify a 120W power supply. Avoid using the adapter in environments with excessive moisture or dust. Keep ventilation around the power brick to prevent overheating and use the supplied or a compatible AC cord. If device behavior suggests insufficient power delivery, verify connector seating and mains voltage, and consult the laptop's power requirements to ensure compatibility.
