The Active Key AK-7000 Keyboard Universal USB QWERTY US International Black is a full-size wired keyboard with a 103-key QWERTY layout designed for universal desktop and kiosk applications. It features a numeric keypad for fast numeric data entry and a compact, low-profile build that fits space-constrained setups. The flat, slightly slanted key tops make the key field easier to clean, while the black finish provides a neutral appearance suitable for office and public environments.

Advantages

The AK-7000 delivers reliable wired connectivity through USB and a full-size key layout including a numeric pad for efficient data entry. Its scissors-style balancing mechanism improves off-center key response and provides a consistent tactile sensation across the key field. The low-profile design reduces vertical space usage, making the keyboard suitable for rack installations, kiosks and other constrained environments. The flat, slanted keys simplify surface cleaning and maintenance.

• Office workstations requiring full-size keyboards with numeric keypad

Clean the flat, slanted key tops periodically with a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid excessive liquid and disassembly.

Recommendations

For prolonged comfortable use, place the keyboard on a stable surface at elbow height and keep the wrist in a neutral position. For kiosk or rack installations, ensure sufficient cable routing and strain relief to prevent accidental disconnection. Regularly remove dust and debris from the key field to maintain consistent key action and hygiene.
