AOC CBO SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q7M 7m aktívny optický kábel, 25 Gbit/s, SFP28

Active optical cable AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q7M by CBO is a 7-meter, factory-terminated duplex link with SFP28 connectors supporting 25Gbps data rates. Engineered for direct server, switch and storage interconnects, this 25Gbps SFP28 cable offers a compact, low-latency optical alternative to electrical DACs for short- to mid-range connections in data centers and enterprise networks. The cable provides electromagnetic immunity and consistent signal integrity across the full 7 m length while simplifying cabling density with a small form-factor connector.

Advantages

The BlueOptics SFP28 active optical cable combines lightweight fiber construction with active transceivers at each end to deliver reliable 25Gbps performance over 7 meters. It reduces thermal load and power draw compared with comparable copper assemblies, resists electromagnetic interference for stable links in dense rack environments, and maintains low latency suitable for high-performance computing and storage workloads. The pre-terminated design ensures plug-and-play deployment and predictable optical characteristics without field terminations.

Suitable for

• 25Gbps server-to-switch uplinks in data centers
• Top-of-rack and end-of-row switch interconnects
• High-performance storage array connections
• Short- to mid-range fiber replacement where electrical DACs are impractical

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 duplex
• Rated data rate: 25 Gigabits per second
• Length: 7 meters
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC) with integrated transceivers
• Latency: low-latency optical link suitable for switching and storage
• EMI immunity: optical transmission resists electromagnetic interference
• Form factor: compact SFP28 small form-factor for high-density ports

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into compatible SFP28 host ports on switches, servers or storage devices until the connector latches. Ensure both devices support 25Gbps SFP28 links and that the ports are enabled and configured for the intended link speed. No fiber polishing or termination is required; the pre-terminated active optical cable is ready for immediate use. When removing the cable, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid stressing the transceiver module.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid tight bends near the transceiver ends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Use AOC links for rack-level and short inter-rack connections; verify compatibility with device vendor transceiver policies and firmware to ensure link stability. Store unused cables in protective covers and handle connectors by the housing to prevent contamination of connector interfaces.
