APC NetShelter SX Server Rack Gen 2, 42U, 1991H x 800W x 1070D mm, s bočnými stenami, čierna

The APC NetShelter SX Server Rack Gen 2 42U Black is a freestanding server enclosure designed for organized equipment installation and protection in data centers, server rooms, and network closets. This 42U rack provides a deep interior and robust all-steel construction to support higher-density computing and heavy equipment. The enclosure includes a keyed front lock and adjustable leveling feet for secure placement and stable operation, with dimensions of approximately 1991 mm height, 800 mm width and 1070 mm depth to accommodate full-size servers, switches and power distribution units while maintaining accessible cable and airflow pathways.

Advantages

The design offers improved load capacities and increased usable space for rackside components and cable management. Perforated front and rear doors allow enhanced airflow to support high-power servers, while a wide 270° door opening simplifies access to equipment without obstructing aisles. All-steel construction provides long-term durability and a consistent mounting framework for rail-mounted devices and accessories. The matte black finish and modern styling make the rack suitable for visible or colocated installations. Built-in security and adjustable feet contribute to operational stability and equipment protection.

Suitable for

• Small and medium data centers and enterprise server rooms
• Colocation facilities and customer-facing installations
• Network closets and telecom cabinets
• Laboratory and edge computing environments requiring robust, lockable enclosures

How to use

Place the freestanding rack on a solid, level surface and adjust the leveling feet to remove any wobble prior to loading equipment. Install vertical mounting rails at the required U positions and secure rail-mounted devices using standard server rack hardware. Route power distribution units and network cabling to separate vertical cable channels where possible to maintain airflow and ease of service. Ensure the perforated doors are not obstructed and verify that installation maintains sufficient front-to-rear airflow for installed equipment. Use the keyed lock to secure the front door after servicing.

Recommendations

For optimal cooling and cable management, use compatible APC accessories such as vertical cable managers, blanking panels, and rack-mounted power distribution units. When deploying high-density or high-power equipment, plan airflow paths and maintain clearance at the front and rear perforated doors. Follow local installation codes and, when necessary, engage qualified personnel to handle heavy equipment mounting and grounding.
