Atte aktívny Ethernet a PoE konvertor xCOAX4-SET 18346 – sada pre Ethernet cez koaxiál, podpora PoE

Atte xCOAX4-SET 18346 is a set of active converters for transmitting Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) across existing coaxial cable installations. The kit allows Ethernet signals and DC power to be carried over coaxial runs, enabling network extension and device powering without replacing existing cabling. It is intended for retrofit scenarios where UTP cable is not available or rewiring is impractical, and supports common IP devices used in surveillance and access control systems.

Advantages

The set preserves existing coaxial infrastructure while providing Ethernet connectivity and PoE delivery, reducing installation time and civil works. Active conversion maintains signal integrity over longer coax runs than passive adapters, and the design simplifies connecting IP cameras, access controllers and other networked devices without new cable routes. The converters are compact and suitable for mounting near equipment, enabling centralized power distribution to remote devices.

Key specifications

How to use

Install one converter unit at the network source side and the matching unit at the remote coax termination. Connect the network switch or PoE injector to the RJ45 port on the source converter, and attach the coax cable between the two units using the coaxial connectors. At the remote end, connect the RJ45 output to the PoE-capable device. Ensure power is provided to the source converter via a compatible PoE injector or local power supply as required. Verify link status and device operation after connections are made.

Recommendations

Use shielded coaxial cable in good condition and keep cable lengths within the recommended range for reliable Ethernet and PoE transmission. Confirm device PoE requirements and compatibility before deployment, and test each link after installation. For permanent installations, secure converters and cables to prevent mechanical stress and follow local electrical regulations when supplying power.
