The Cordless extension handset MITEL 742d DECT GAP is a wireless DECT handset intended to act as an additional handset for existing DECT GAP-compatible base stations. The handset is suitable for environments where a compatible DECT GAP system is already deployed and an extra handset is required for convenience or expanded access.

The device delivers clear voice transmission typical of DECT technology and provides cordless freedom for internal calls and external calls routed through the base station. Its compact form factor and handset operation support typical telephony features expected from an extension handset while preserving base-station call management and phonebook functionality where supported.
