Bezdrôtový LAN ovládač Lancom Systems WLC-60, interné antény, Kensington zámok, montáž na stôl/stenu, 10/100/1000 Mbit/s

The LANCOM WLC-60 is a wireless LAN controller for centralized management of Wi‑Fi networks and up to 60 access points. It provides central firmware rollout, monitoring and configuration management with support for zero‑touch deployment to add and provision access points automatically. The device includes internal antennas, a Kensington cable lock slot, and flexible installation options for desktop or wall mounting. Network interfaces support 10/100/1000 Mbps and the controller supports common network protocols and authentication methods required for secure, centrally managed WLAN environments.

Advantages

The WLC-60 simplifies operation of medium-sized wireless installations by enabling central firmware updates, automatic configuration rollout and integrated user authentication. Optimized roaming behavior reduces client disconnects during handover between access points, while VLAN, RADIUS and IEEE 802.1X/EAP functions allow separation of services and controlled access for different user groups. Integrated hotspot (Public Spot) functionality supports the provision of public Internet access while keeping the corporate network isolated.

Suitable for

• Medium-sized enterprise Wi‑Fi deployments requiring central management
• Sites needing secure authentication and segmented wireless networks (VLAN, RADIUS, 802.1X)
• Locations that provide public hotspots while keeping internal networks separate
• Installations where zero‑touch provisioning and central firmware rollout save administrative effort

Key specifications

• Managed access points: central control for up to 60 devices
• Network interfaces: 10/100/1000 Mbps (10/100/1000Base‑T(X))
• Antenna: internal antennas
• Mounting options: desktop or wall mount
• Physical security: Kensington cable lock slot
• Protocol and service support: DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ICMP, NTP/SNTP, NetBIOS, PPPoE (server)
• Authentication and accounting: RADIUS / RADSEC and integrated RADIUS server
• Hotspot support: integrated Public Spot option
• Client roaming: support for optimized roaming mechanisms (e.g., IEEE 802.11r, OKC)
• Quality of Service: QoS and VLAN support

How to use

Install the WLC-60 either on a desktop or mount it on the wall and secure it with a Kensington lock if required. Connect the controller to the network via the Gigabit Ethernet interface and power it according to the installation guide. Use the management interface to add access points; with zero‑touch deployment enabled, access points are automatically discovered and receive their assigned configuration after network authentication. Configure VLANs, RADIUS authentication, hotspot settings and firmware rollout schedules through the controller’s management console to centralize and standardize WLAN operation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation in medium-sized networks, keep controller firmware and managed access point firmware up to date, configure RADIUS/EAP settings to match your authentication policy, and define VLANs to separate guest and corporate traffic. Use the zero‑touch deployment feature to reduce manual setup effort and enable automatic firmware rollout during maintenance windows to minimize service interruption.
