Blokátor portov ShiverPeaks 08-01031 RJ-45 zelený s kľúčom

The ShiverPeaks 08-01031 RJ-45 port blocker in green with key is a compact physical security device designed to restrict access to Ethernet network ports. It fits standard RJ-45 jacks and blocks insertion of network plugs until removed with the supplied key. The blocker helps enforce network access control in office environments, shared workspaces and data centers by preventing unauthorized connection of devices to switched or unmanaged ports.

Advantages

This RJ-45 port blocker provides a simple, hardware-based layer of security that operates independently of software policies. Its visible colored design makes blocked ports easily identifiable while the keyed mechanism prevents casual or opportunistic plugging. The device is low-profile and does not require power or configuration, offering a durable and maintenance-free solution for reducing the risk of unauthorized network access and potential data leakage.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Securing unused wall or patch panel network ports in offices
• Protecting data center or server room RJ-45 interfaces from unauthorized connections
• Controlling temporary access points in meeting rooms and public areas
• Use in educational institutions, healthcare facilities and shared workspaces

Key specifications

• Form factor: RJ-45 port blocker with keyed removal
• Color: green for easy visual identification
• Material: durable plastic construction suitable for frequent insertion and removal
• Compatibility: fits standard 8P8C (RJ-45) Ethernet jacks and patch panels
• Operation: passive, no power or software required

How to use

Insert the blocker into the RJ-45 jack until it seats securely; the keyed mechanism will prevent normal plug insertion. To restore access, insert the provided key into the blocker and withdraw it from the port. For effective control, label blocked ports and keep the key in a secure location accessible only to authorized personnel. Regularly inspect blockers for damage and replace if the fit becomes loose or the plastic shows wear.

Recommendations

Use these port blockers as part of a broader physical and administrative network security policy: combine them with documented key control, port labeling and network access policies. Avoid forcing non-compatible connectors and replace damaged units promptly to maintain secure port protection.
