Aktívny optický kábel (AOC) CBO SFP-AOC-10G-1M — 10 Gbit/s, 1 m, SFP+ na SFP+

CBO SFP-AOC-10G-1M is a 1-metre active optical cable with SFP+ to SFP+ connectors that supports a 10 Gbps data rate for short-range, high-speed interconnects. The cable integrates active optical transceivers into a single assembly, removing the need for separate SFP+ modules and external fiber patch cords. It is intended for plug-and-play use in data center and enterprise environments where compact cabling, low latency and electromagnetic immunity are required.

Advantages

The Active Optical Cable provides a ready-made, low-latency link that reduces installation time and cabling complexity compared with discrete transceivers and fiber jumpers. As an optical solution, it is immune to electromagnetic interference and supports compact cable routing in dense racks and switch stacks. The integrated SFP+ connectors simplify inventory and eliminate module-to-patch-cord compatibility concerns.

Suitable for

• Short-range interconnects between switches and routers in data centers
• Server-to-switch connections in rack deployments
• Storage array uplinks and inter-shelf links
• High-density rack environments where cable management and signal integrity are critical

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP+ to SFP+
• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Cable type: Active optical cable (AOC)
• Length: 1 metre
• Latency: low, suitable for high-performance switching and server links
• Immunity: resistant to electromagnetic interference (EMI)
• Compatibility: designed for SFP+ ports supporting 10 Gbps optical AOCs

How to use

Install the AOC by plugging each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on the devices to be linked. No additional transceivers or fiber patch cords are required. The cable is plug-and-play in most systems; ensure that connected devices are configured for 10 Gbps operation and that port firmware or operating system drivers support passive/active optical cables if required by the vendor. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it to reduce strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Use the AOC for short-reach, high-bandwidth links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer, avoid exposing connectors to dust when unplugged, and verify port compatibility with the host equipment. For long-term reliability, inspect connectors before insertion and follow standard ESD precautions when handling optical interfaces.
