Aktívny optický kábel (AOC) CBO SFP28-AOC-20M 20 m pre SFP28 porty, 25 Gbit/s, duplex

CBO SFP28-AOC-20M is a 20-meter active optical cable with SFP28 connectors, engineered for 25Gbps duplex links between SFP28 ports. The factory-terminated design integrates transceivers and fiber, delivering a low-latency, high-bandwidth interconnect for data center racks, top-of-rack switches, and server connections. The cable supports hot-pluggable operation and eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifying deployment and reducing points of failure.

Advantages

The AOC provides consistent 25Gbps performance over a 20 m reach with minimal signal loss and stable duplex transmission. Its integrated construction reduces installation time and cable management complexity while maintaining low electromagnetic interference due to optical signaling. The hot-pluggable SFP28 connectors enable quick swaps and upgrades without system downtime. Factory termination ensures standardized optical alignment and reliability for short- to medium-reach links.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches and servers in data centers
• Top-of-rack (ToR) and leaf-spine architectures
• High-performance computing clusters requiring 25Gbps connectivity
• Switch-to-switch connections within the same equipment room or rack rows

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 duplex
• Rated data rate: 25 Gbps (per duplex link)
• Length: 20 meters
• Transmission medium: active optical cable (integrated optics)
• Latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Operation: hot-pluggable
• Typical use: short to medium reach within racks and equipment rooms

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the devices to be linked, ensuring correct orientation and secure seating. Once connected, devices will detect the link automatically if they support standard SFP28 modules and 25Gbps operation. No separate transceivers or fiber patch cords are required. For removal, depress the connector latch (if present) and withdraw the module carefully to avoid strain on the cable assembly.

Recommendations

Install the cable avoiding sharp bends and routes near high-heat sources; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Use cable management to prevent excessive tension or kinking and verify device compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules before deployment. For optimal performance in dense deployments, label both ends to simplify maintenance and track link locations.
