Aktívny optický kábel CBO SFP28-AOC-2M 2 m SFP28 AOC pre 25Gb/s pripojenia

Active Optical Cable CBO SFP28-AOC-2M is a 2 m SFP28 AOC engineered for 25Gb/s links between compatible SFP28 ports. The cable integrates optical transceivers and a duplex multimode fibre within a single assembly to deliver a low-latency, power-efficient interconnect for switches, servers and network appliances. Its 2-metre length is intended for short-reach high-speed interconnects in data centre racks and enterprise equipment rows where SFP28 connectivity is supported.

Advantages

The SFP28 AOC offers reduced power consumption compared with separate transceiver and fibre assemblies, consistent 25Gb/s throughput, and low propagation delay suitable for latency-sensitive applications. Its integrated design simplifies installation and inventory management while eliminating the need for separate patch cords and transceivers. The 2 m length helps maintain signal integrity for short links and reduces cable clutter in dense rack environments.

Suitable for

• 25Gb/s short-reach uplinks between switches and leaf/spine fabrics
• Server-to-switch connections in data centre racks
• Direct interconnects between network appliances and storage nodes
• High-density rack deployments requiring compact cable routing

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 active optical cable
• Data rate: 25 Gb/s (per cable assembly)
• Length: 2 metres
• Connector type: SFP28 compatible duplex interface
• Medium: integrated multimode optical fibre
• Latency: low propagation delay suitable for latency-sensitive traffic
• Power: power-efficient integrated transceiver design

How to use

Install the Active Optical Cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on network switches, servers or appliances until it latches. Ensure both ends are fully seated and that the host devices are compatible with SFP28 AOC modules. After insertion, verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces and confirm negotiated speed is 25Gb/s. For removal, release the latch mechanism and pull the module straight out to avoid stressing the cable assembly.

Recommendations

Route the cable with gentle bends and avoid tight radii to preserve fibre integrity. Use the 2 m length for short intra-rack or adjacent-rack connections; for longer spans select a suitable alternative. Confirm compatibility with the host equipment and firmware to ensure proper recognition and optimal performance.
