AOC aktívny optický kábel CBO SFP-AOC-10G-1M 10G 1 m SFP+ na SFP+

The AOC CBO SFP-AOC-10G-1M is an Active Optical Cable that provides a direct 10 Gbps link over a 1-metre optical connection between SFP+ ports. Built for short-reach high-speed links in switches, servers and storage systems, this SFP+ to SFP+ cable integrates optical transceivers into the assembly to remove the need for separate modules and patch cords. The design reduces electromagnetic interference and lowers power consumption compared with equivalent copper direct-attach solutions while maintaining PCIe- and networking-grade signal integrity.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers a compact, plug-and-play solution for 10 Gbps interconnects with simplified cabling and fewer components to manage. By combining transceiver functionality with the fibre link, it reduces connector points and potential failure modes, and supports consistent signal performance over the specified 1 m distance. The optical medium reduces susceptibility to electrical noise and can contribute to lower rack-level power dissipation compared with copper alternatives.

Suitable for

• Short-reach uplinks between switches and routers in data center racks
• Server-to-switch and storage-to-switch connections within the same equipment bay
• High-speed interconnections in blade and modular chassis systems
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference and simplified cabling are required

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gbps
• Connector type: SFP+ to SFP+
• Length: 1 metre optical link
• Medium: active optical cable with integrated transceiver
• Application: short-reach links for switches, servers and storage
• Interference: reduced susceptibility to electromagnetic interference compared with copper

How to use

Install by inserting each SFP+ connector end into the corresponding SFP+ port on the networking device, ensuring the connectors are fully seated and any latch mechanism is engaged. Devices typically detect the AOC as an SFP+ transceiver; verify link status and configuration on both endpoints after connection. No separate transceivers or fibre patch cords are required. Handle the cable by the housings and avoid tight bends near the connector to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the cable within the specified 1 m distance and avoid routing near strong electromagnetic sources despite the optical medium. Confirm device compatibility with SFP+ active optical assemblies and check link negotiation settings on network equipment. Store and transport the cable in a protective sleeve to protect connector endfaces.
