AOC kábel CBO QSFP-100G-AOC-5M — 5 m aktívny optický kábel kompatibilný s QSFP28

Active optical cable (AOC) CBO QSFP-100G-AOC-5M is a 5-metre QSFP28-compatible link designed for 100G data transmission between compatible networking and server equipment. The cable integrates QSFP28-compatible connectors with an active optical link, providing a fixed-length optical connection without separate transceivers. It is intended to simplify high-speed interconnects in data centers, switches and storage systems while reducing power consumption and rack space compared with discrete optical modules.

Advantages

The BlueOptics AOC eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch fibres, reducing installation complexity and the number of spare parts required. Its fixed-length design provides predictable signal performance and simplifies cabling management in dense rack environments. Being an active optical cable, it lowers electrical power draw and heat generation at the port compared with equivalent copper direct-attach solutions at the same data rate.

Suitable for

• 100G links between switches and routers in data centre aggregations
• Server-to-switch uplinks in high-performance computing and virtualised environments
• Storage area network connections and top-of-rack interconnects
• Short-reach optical interconnects where QSFP28-compatible ports are available

Key specifications

• Connector type: QSFP28-compatible on both ends
• Data rate: 100 Gbit/s
• Length: 5 metres (fixed)
• Form factor: Active optical cable (integrated optical transceivers)
• Application environment: Designed for data centre and enterprise networking equipment

How to use

Insert each QSFP28-compatible connector into the appropriate port on host equipment until the connector latch engages. Use manufacturer-recommended ESD precautions when handling the cable and avoid tight bends that exceed the cable's minimum bend radius. The cable is plug-and-play with compatible QSFP28 ports; verify link status and port settings on networking equipment after connection to confirm 100G operation.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain, keep the cable away from heat sources, and ensure compatible firmware or driver support on connected devices. Use the 5 m length for short-reach interconnects inside racks or between adjacent racks where QSFP28-compatible ports are available.
