AOC kábel CBO SFP28-AOC-3M dĺžka 3 m SFP28 aktívny optický kábel kompatibilný

The AOC cable CBO SFP28-AOC-3M is a 3 m active optical cable designed for direct high-speed connections between servers, switches and other network equipment. Intended for SFP28 ports and 25GbE links, this fixed-length cable integrates optical transceivers in the assembly to deliver low-latency, energy-efficient data transmission without separate pluggable modules. Its compact form factor and uncomplicated installation simplify short-reach interconnects in racks and data center environments.

Advantages

The cable offers consistent signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives, supporting reliable 25GbE performance over a short 3 m span. Integration of the active optical components eliminates the need to purchase and manage separate transceivers, lowering deployment complexity. The lightweight, bend-tolerant construction eases cable routing in dense rack setups while maintaining low power consumption and stable latency characteristics suitable for latency-sensitive applications.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch connections within racks
• Top-of-rack and leaf-spine network links in data centers
• 25GbE SFP28 port interconnects between networking devices
• High-density installations where compact, low-EMI cabling is required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 compatible active optical assemblies on both ends
• Length: 3 meters fixed cable
• Data rate support: 25 Gigabit Ethernet (25GbE)
• Transmission medium: optical fiber with integrated active optics
• Latency: low-latency optical link suitable for time-sensitive traffic
• Power consumption: low power per end compared with discrete transceiver plus copper cabling
• Physical characteristics: compact, lightweight and flexible for dense rack routing

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28-form end into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch engages. Confirm link negotiation and speed settings on both connected devices according to their configuration interfaces. No separate transceiver purchase or fiber patching is required; the cable is pre-terminated and factory-tested for interoperability. For hot-pluggable operation, remove or insert with the connected equipment powered according to the vendor’s guidelines.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short links up to 3 m inside racks or between adjacent racks. Avoid tight bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. Verify compatibility with switch and server SFP28 port firmware and allow devices to auto-negotiate 25GbE settings; update device drivers or firmware if necessary to ensure full interoperability.
