CBO aktívny optický kábel (AOC) SFP+ 10G 30m pre Meraki SFP-AOC-10G-30M

CBO Active Optical Cable (AOC) SFP+ 10G 30m for Meraki SFP-AOC-10G-30M is an active optical cable assembly with SFP+ connectors that supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over a 30 metre OM multimode fibre link. It is designed for direct connection between compatible SFP+ ports and switches, offering low latency transmission, immunity to electromagnetic interference and reduced cable bulk compared with equivalent copper direct-attach solutions. The cable is intended for use in data centre and network rack environments where reliable short-reach 10GbE links are required.

Advantages

The AOC solution provides stable 10GbE performance with low power consumption and predictable signal integrity across the specified 30 m range. Using optical transmission reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and ground loop issues. The integrated SFP+ connectors simplify installation and remove the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, resulting in neater rack cabling and fewer points of failure.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches, routers and servers within the same rack or adjacent racks
• Data centre top-of-rack and end-of-row short-reach uplinks
• High-speed links requiring low latency and high signal integrity
• Environments where electromagnetic immunity is important

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ connectors (both ends)
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Maximum link length: 30 metres over OM multimode fibre
• Fibre type: Multimode (OM class)
• Transmission type: Active optical (integrated transceivers and fibre)
• Latency: Low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Power consumption: Low-power optical design

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on compatible network equipment until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support SFP+ 10GbE and that firmware or vendor compatibility requirements are met. Route the cable through the rack or cable management paths to avoid sharp bends; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode optical assemblies. No separate transceivers or patch cords are required.

Recommendations

Verify compatibility with the specific switch or module vendor documentation before deployment and perform link tests after installation. Keep the connectors clean and protected when not in use, and avoid tight bends or kinks to preserve optical performance.
