CBO AOC Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-50M aktívny optický kábel 10G, 50 m, SFP+

CBO AOC Coriant SFP-AOC-10G-50M active optical cable 10G, 50 m, SFP+ is a factory-terminated SFP+ active optical assembly designed to deliver a 10 Gigabit Ethernet link over a 50-metre single-cable connection. The AOC integrates optical transceivers and multimode fiber in a lightweight, low-power form factor that plugs directly into SFP+ ports, eliminating the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch panels. It is intended for data centre and enterprise environments where a reliable, low-latency 10GbE connection with a 50 m reach is required.

Advantages

The cable provides a simple, plug-and-play connection with lower weight and power consumption compared with discrete transceiver plus patch-cord solutions. With integrated optics and a fixed length of 50 metres, installation time is reduced and the physical cabling footprint is smaller, improving rack airflow and cable management. The active optical design supports low latency and stable performance across typical data centre operating conditions, and the SFP+ form factor ensures compatibility with a wide range of switches, servers and storage equipment that accept SFP+ modules.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch connections within data halls and white-space areas
• Switch-to-switch uplinks and leaf-spine fabrics requiring 50 m reach
• Storage networking and SAN interconnects using SFP+ ports
• Short-distance cross-connects where reduced weight and power are beneficial

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP+ plug-and-play active optical cable
• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE)
• Length: 50 metres
• Form factor: SFP+ connectors on both ends
• Latency: low, suitable for data centre switching and storage traffic
• Power: integrated low-power optics (no external power source required)
• Cable type: factory-terminated AOC with multimode optical channels

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be connected, ensuring the retainers or latches are fully engaged. Confirm that both ends are seated correctly and check link status LEDs on the connected equipment. No separate transceivers or fibre patch cables are necessary. Monitor device compatibility lists and firmware requirements if available on your network equipment to ensure full interoperability. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends or kinks along the optical cable to preserve signal integrity.
