BNC video/audio adaptér ShiverPeaks 98807-3 pre RG58 U kábel, crimp zakončenie

The ShiverPeaks BNC Video/Audio Adapter 98807-3 is a crimp-style connector engineered for use with RG58 U coaxial cable. It establishes a reliable BNC connection for analog video and audio signals and is intended for installations that require a sturdy mechanical and electrical termination. The adapter is suitable for CCTV camera links, broadcast signal routing, instrumentation measurements and general AV cabling where RG58 U impedance and dimensions are used.

Advantages

This crimp termination adapter offers consistent electrical contact and mechanical retention designed for RG58 U cable. Its BNC interface provides a bayonet-style quick mating mechanism that maintains signal integrity with low insertion loss. The design reduces the risk of intermittent connections compared to improvised or soldered joints and supports repeated mating cycles without significant degradation.

Suitable for

• CCTV and security camera coax connections
• Analog video distribution and monitoring systems
• Audio signal transmission over coax in AV setups
• Instrument and test equipment connections requiring BNC terminations
• Field installations and repairs where crimp termination is preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: BNC male/female interface (bayonet coupling)
• Termination method: crimp termination for central conductor and outer conductor
• Compatible cable: RG58 U coaxial cable (50 Ω characteristic impedance)
• Signal type: analog video and audio, RF and instrumentation signals
• Mechanical durability: designed for multiple mating cycles

How to use

Prepare the RG58 U cable by stripping the outer jacket, braid and dielectric to the recommended lengths for this crimp connector. Insert the cable so the central conductor seats in the pin/contact and the braid is captured under the crimp sleeve. Use an appropriate crimping tool sized for this connector to compress the sleeve and secure both the center conductor and outer conductor termination. After crimping, verify the assembly by checking mechanical retention and continuity with a multimeter or cable tester, and connect the BNC interface to the mating device by pushing and twisting the bayonet coupling until it locks.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use a calibrated crimp tool matched to the connector dimensions and inspect each termination for correct conductor exposure and braid coverage. Avoid excessive stripping of the dielectric and ensure the central conductor is straight and fully inserted before crimping. Periodically inspect terminations in exposed or high-vibration environments and replace connectors that show corrosion or mechanical wear.
