The Bosch GRT 18V-40 is a cordless grass trimmer powered by an 18V battery, designed for lightweight handling and straightforward lawn edge maintenance. The tool is intended for routine trimming and tidying of small to medium garden areas, delivering a balance of portability and cutting performance for residential use.

Advantages

The cordless design eliminates the need for extension cords, increasing mobility and safety when working near obstacles or on uneven ground. A lightweight construction reduces user fatigue during extended use and improves maneuverability along borders and around garden features. Simple operation and quick start-up make the tool suitable for frequent, short maintenance sessions without complicated setup. Its battery-powered operation ensures consistent power delivery appropriate for regular grass trimming tasks in domestic gardens.

Suitable for

• Trimming lawn edges and small grassy areas around homes
• Maintaining narrow strips, flowerbeds and pathways
• Working in locations without convenient mains power or where a cable would restrict movement

Key specifications

• Power source: 18V rechargeable battery
• Design: cordless, lightweight for easy handling
• Intended use: grass trimming and edge maintenance for small to medium gardens
• Operation: battery-powered motor for portable performance

How to use

Charge a compatible 18V battery according to the battery charger instructions and insert it firmly into the tool before operation. Hold the trimmer with a balanced grip and position the cutting head parallel to the ground for even trimming. Move steadily along edges or desired trimming lines, keeping the tool at a comfortable distance from plants and structures. After use, remove the battery for storage or charging, clean accumulating grass clippings from the cutting head, and inspect the cutting elements for wear.

Recommendations

For best results, use a fully charged battery and perform trimming in short passes rather than forcing the tool through dense or tall vegetation; regular cleaning and inspection of the cutting head prolongs service life and maintains cutting quality.
