Canon Wide-Angle RF 24 mm F1.8 Macro IS STM objektív fotoaparátu, čierny

The Canon RF 24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM Black is a wide-angle macro lens for Canon mirrorless (MILC) cameras. With a compact length of 63.1 mm and a light weight of approximately 0.27 kg, it combines a bright maximum aperture with close-focusing capability to capture both expansive scenes and detailed close-ups. The optical construction of 11 elements in 9 groups and a Canon RF mount deliver reliable image quality and full compatibility with Canon mirrorless bodies.

Advantages

This lens provides a large f/1.8 aperture for low-light shooting and shallow depth of field control while retaining wide-angle perspective. Its macro capability enables a closest focusing distance of 0.14 m for detailed close-up images without requiring additional extension. The STM autofocus motor ensures smooth and relatively quiet focus transitions useful for both stills and video. The compact, lightweight build makes it convenient for travel and handheld use.

Suitable for

• Landscape and environmental photography where a wide field of view is required
• Macro and close-up photography of small subjects such as flowers, food, and product details
• Street and documentary photography with low-light performance and portability
• Video recording that benefits from smooth STM autofocus and wide framing

How to use

Attach the lens to a compatible Canon RF-mount mirrorless camera following the camera and lens mounting instructions. Use the wide f/1.8 aperture to isolate subjects or to maintain faster shutter speeds in low light; stop down toward f/8–f/11 when greater depth of field is required for landscapes. For macro shots, move the camera close to the subject, maintaining the specified closest focusing distance of 0.14 m; use careful focusing and steady support or image stabilization as available to avoid blur. For video, enable continuous autofocus and use smooth focus transitions enabled by the STM motor.

Recommendations

To maximise sharpness in macro work, use a tripod or stable support and consider focus stacking for increased depth of field. When shooting wide-angle scenes, watch for distortion at the edges and adjust composition or correct in post-processing if necessary. Regularly clean the front element and store the lens in a dry, padded case to prolong optical performance.
