Chladiaci systém Alphacool 24831 silikón čierny 14cm ventilátor

The Alphacool 24831 silicone fan shroud is an accessory for computer radiators that improves cooling efficiency and reduces noise. Made of soft, durable silicone and sized for 140 mm fans, it increases the distance between the fan and radiator fins to optimise airflow and reduces vibration transmission by decoupling the fan from the radiator frame.

Advantages

The silicone shroud creates an air cushion between the fan blades and the radiator, eliminating low-flow zones beneath the fan hub and increasing airflow to the radiator corners. This improves cooling performance, particularly with low-speed quiet fans. The soft material also isolates fan vibrations from the radiator frame, which lowers transmitted vibrations and reduces overall noise. The increased clearance around the fan edges further decreases direct air turbulence at the fins.

Suitable for

• 140 mm radiator fans in PC water-cooling systems
• Setups requiring reduced fan-to-radiator vibration and noise
• Quiet or low-RPM fans where airflow optimisation improves cooling
• Retrofits to existing radiators to improve corner airflow

Key specifications

• Brand: Alphacool
• Model / MPN: 24831
• Material: Silicone
• Fan size compatibility: 140 mm
• Dimensions (approx.): width 140 mm, depth 140 mm, height 7 mm

How to use

Place the silicone shroud between the 140 mm fan and the radiator so that the fan mounts onto the shroud and the shroud seats against the radiator frame. Mount the fan and shroud assembly to the radiator using the existing fan screws or mounting hardware, ensuring the shroud is aligned to create an even gap between fan blades and radiator fins. Verify that the fan spins freely without contacting the shroud and that screw tension does not compress the silicone excessively.

Recommendations

For best results, use the Alphacool silicone shroud with 140 mm fans operating at low to medium speeds to maximise the airflow improvement and noise reduction. Check compatibility with radiator thickness and existing mounting holes before installation.
