How to use

Install the switch in a standard 19" rack or place it on a stable surface, connect uplink and endpoint devices using Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cables, and power the unit according to the product manual. Use the DIP switch for rapid local configuration of common features such as Extend mode (for 250 m PoE), QoS and Port Isolation, or access the management interface to configure VLANs, Auto Surveillance VLAN, Voice VLAN, LACP, STP and bandwidth control. Connect PoE devices directly to the PoE-enabled ports to supply power and data over a single cable.

Recommendations

For surveillance deployments, plan PoE budget per camera model and reserve headroom for PTZ units and other high-power devices. Use shielded cabling where required by the environment, enable surge protection features, and schedule Time-Based PoE to reduce energy consumption when devices are not needed.
