The DeLOCK USB adapter converts a USB Type-C™ male connection into a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) Type-E Key A female port, allowing devices with a USB Type-C interface to be connected using an existing USB A cable. The adapter is black and compliant with USB 3.2 Gen 2 specifications for reliable high-speed data transfer.

Advantages

This adapter supports data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps, provides a compact form factor for easy portability, and maintains backward compatibility with USB A cables when used with compatible devices. Its design follows USB 3.2 Gen 2 standards to ensure stable and efficient connections between Type-C hosts and Type-E Key A peripherals.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB Type-C devices to peripherals that use a USB A (Type-E Key A) cable
• Data transfer between modern laptops, tablets or phones and older USB A accessories
• Use cases requiring up to 10 Gbps transfer speeds, such as external storage access

How to use

Insert the adapter's USB Type-C male plug into a compatible Type-C host port. Connect an existing USB A cable to the adapter's Type-E Key A female port, then attach the USB A cable to the peripheral device. The connection will use the host and peripheral capabilities to negotiate the maximum supported transfer speed, up to 10 Gbps when both sides support USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Recommendations

To achieve maximum transfer speeds, use high-quality USB 3.2 Gen 2 cables and ensure both the host device and the peripheral support USB 3.2 Gen 2. Avoid forcing connectors and disconnect by pulling the housing rather than the cable.
