The Philips HD6212/90 Electric Griddle is a freestanding countertop appliance with a 2400 W power rating and two independently controlled cooking zones. Constructed with aluminum and tempered glass components, this griddle is designed for everyday use and can handle a range of foods from pancakes and eggs to grilled vegetables and sandwiches. The two cooking zones allow simultaneous preparation of different items at separate temperatures, while the adjustable thermostat provides precise heat control.

Advantages

The griddle’s 2400 W power ensures rapid heat-up and stable cooking temperatures across the surface. The freestanding design offers a compact footprint suitable for kitchen counters and buffet setups. Durable materials—aluminum and tempered glass—contribute to easy cleaning and long-term use. The adjustable thermostat allows users to set and maintain preferred cooking temperatures for each zone, improving consistency and reducing the need to move food between burners.

Suitable for

• Preparing breakfast items such as pancakes, eggs and bacon
• Grilling sandwiches, panini and flatbreads
• Cooking vegetables, seafood and thin cuts of meat
• Entertaining or buffet-style serving where two temperatures are needed

How to use

Place the freestanding griddle on a stable, heat-resistant surface and connect to a suitable mains socket. Set the adjustable thermostat for each cooking zone according to the food being prepared; allow the unit to reach the selected temperature before placing food on the surface. Use appropriate cookware tools (spatula, tongs) to turn and remove food. After cooking, switch the appliance off and unplug it. Allow the griddle to cool down before cleaning the tempered glass surfaces and aluminum components following the manufacturer’s cleaning guidance.

Recommendations

For even results, preheat each zone to the required temperature and avoid overcrowding the cooking surface. Use the adjustable thermostat to match heat levels to different foods—lower for delicate items, higher for searing. Ensure the appliance is positioned on a level, heat-resistant surface and follow local electrical safety guidelines when connecting the griddle.
