Freewell Glow Mist filter pre DJI Mavic 4 Pro 1/4 clony

The Freewell Glow Mist 1/4 filter for the DJI Mavic 4 Pro provides a subtle diffusion effect that softens highlights and adds a gentle glow to aerial photos and video. Engineered for drone use, the filter reduces the intensity of bright areas while preserving overall image detail and sharpness, making it suitable for cinematic-style footage and creative aerial portraits.

Advantages

The filter uses 1/4-stop diffusion to smooth harsh tonal transitions and introduce a controlled bloom without significantly lowering image clarity. Made from high-transparency optical glass, it maintains fine detail while producing a pleasant softening effect. Its lightweight, gimbal-safe construction is designed not to overload the DJI Mavic 4 Pro’s stabilization system and to avoid interference with normal gimbal operation.

Suitable for

• Aerial cinematic footage with softened highlights
• Creative drone portraits and subject-focused shots
• Landscape and cityscape video where controlled bloom is desired
• Video projects requiring a subtle, filmic glow

Key specifications

• Diffusion strength: 1/4-stop (Glow Mist)
• Optical material: high-transparency glass
• Designed for: DJI Mavic 4 Pro camera/gimbal
• Effect: soft glow and highlight diffusion while preserving detail
• Weight: lightweight, gimbal-safe construction

How to use

Screw the Glow Mist 1/4 filter onto the front of the DJI Mavic 4 Pro camera lens or attach it using the compatible mounting method. Check gimbal balance and perform a calibration if necessary before flight. Compose and expose scenes as usual; the filter will reduce highlight intensity and add a subtle bloom, so monitor exposure to avoid clipping in very bright areas.

Recommendations

Use the filter when you want a filmic, softened look—especially in backlit scenes, sunrise or sunset flights, or city nightscapes with bright lights. Avoid using strong diffusion in low-light conditions where maximum sharpness and light gathering are required.
