Hama 00179418 koaxiálny konektor F-Typ 1 ks F-Typ

The Hama 00179418 Coaxial Connector F-type 1 pc F-type is a single-piece F-type to F-type inline connector intended for joining coaxial cables in audio-video installations. Its silver finish provides corrosion resistance and a standard F-type coupling ensures compatibility with satellite, cable TV and antenna leads. The compact design maintains signal continuity and minimizes insertion loss when extending or repairing RF cable runs in home entertainment systems.

Advantages

This coaxial connector uses standard F-type threaded couplings on both ends to provide a secure mechanical and electrical connection between coaxial cables. The compact, single-piece construction reduces impedance mismatches and the metallic silver housing offers durability and basic shielding. The connector is tool-friendly for straightforward hand-tightening and integrates seamlessly into typical TV, set-top box, satellite or modem cable runs.

How to use

Strip the coaxial cable ends to expose the inner conductor and dielectric according to the cable manufacturer’s instructions, then insert each prepared cable end into the respective F-type coupling and tighten the threaded connection until secure. Ensure the center conductors are properly aligned and not shorting to the outer shield. For best results, avoid over-tightening and use a torque wrench or hand tightening to prevent damage to the connector or cable.

Recommendations

Use the connector with 75 ohm RF coaxial cables and check connections for signal quality after installation. Replace corroded or damaged connectors and avoid bending the cable sharply near the connection to maintain consistent signal performance.
