Hama 7200670 sieťový kábel sivý 5 m Cat5 U/UTP (UTP)

The Hama 7200670 RJ-45 Cat5 networking cable is a 5 m U/UTP Ethernet cable designed for wired data connections in homes and offices. It features RJ-45 connectors on both ends and Cat5 specification for reliable data transmission. The U/UTP construction reduces external interference and maintains signal integrity over typical LAN distances. The grey jacket provides a neutral appearance that fits into most cable runs and network installations.

Advantages

This Cat5 cable offers straightforward plug-and-play connectivity with standard RJ-45 connectors, allowing quick connection of computers, routers, switches and other Ethernet-capable devices. The U/UTP shielding helps minimise crosstalk and electromagnetic interference without adding bulk, while the 5 m length balances reach and cable management in small to medium installations. The durable outer jacket improves resistance to wear from handling and routing.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, laptops and network printers to a router or switch
• Wired connections for small office or home network segments
• Temporary or permanent links between network devices within a 5 m range
• Structured cabling where Cat5 performance is sufficient for the required throughput

Key specifications

• Cable type: Cat5 U/UTP
• Length: 5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Colour: Grey
• Shielding: Unshielded twisted pair with overall U/UTP construction

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector fully into the Ethernet port of the respective devices until the connector latch clicks into place. Ensure both devices are powered on and check network status indicators or operating system network settings to confirm link activity. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain on the connectors; if routing through conduits or along walls, secure with clips or cable ties at appropriate intervals.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines or close to large electric motors. Replace the cable if the jacket is visibly damaged. Use this Cat5 cable for applications up to its specification limits; for higher bandwidth or future-proofing consider Cat5e or Cat6 alternatives.
