Sealing corrugated conduits where they pass through walls or foundations is a constant battle against water ingress, gas leaks, and rodents. The HauffWIN93 SG sealing insert from Hauff-Technik solves this by providing a mechanical compression seal for a single cable or pipe inside a DN40 corrugated conduit. The EPDM rubber body is compressed by a stainless steel A2 pressure plate, creating a gas-tight and watertight barrier up to 2.5 bar.

Who is it for

This sealing insert is intended for electricians, plumbers, and building contractors who install cable or pipe entries in basements, building entries, or underground structures. It suits applications where a corrugated conduit must be sealed around a single cable or pipe with an outer diameter between 6 mm and 48 mm.

Main features

• Seals one cable or pipe with diameter 6–48 mm inside a DN40 corrugated conduit.
• EPDM rubber sealing body offers excellent UV, ozone, and weather resistance.
• Stainless steel A2 (AISI 304) pressure plate provides high corrosion resistance.
• Mechanical compression ensures a gas-tight and watertight seal up to 2.5 bar.
• Operating temperature range from -30°C to +100°C.
• Good chemical resistance against aqueous solutions, acids, and alkalis.

Tips

Ensure the corrugated conduit end is clean and cut square before inserting the seal. Tighten the pressure plate evenly to achieve uniform compression. For installations subject to movement, verify that the cable or pipe is adequately supported to avoid stress on the seal.
