HDD puzdro Fantec DB-ALU31 čierne 3,5 palca

The Fantec DB-ALU31 Black 3.5" HDD enclosure is designed to house a single 3.5-inch SATA hard drive and provide fast external connectivity via USB Type-C. Constructed from aluminium and finished in black, the enclosure supports Serial ATA, Serial ATA II and Serial ATA III drives and connects to host systems using USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) for transfer rates up to 10 Gbit/s. It is intended for users who need an external housing to expand storage capacity, back up data or repurpose an internal drive as a portable unit while maintaining a compact, durable form factor.

Advantages

The aluminium case offers physical protection and helps dissipate heat from a mounted 3.5" HDD, while the USB Type-C interface ensures compatibility with modern devices. Support for Serial ATA III provides backward compatibility with older SATA generations, enabling flexible use of existing drives. Lightweight at 0.52 kg, the enclosure is easy to move between workstations or to store when not in use. The design focuses on straightforward installation and reliable data transfer without introducing unnecessary features.

Suitable for

• Expanding external storage capacity for desktop and laptop systems
• Creating a backup or archival solution using a 3.5" SATA hard drive
• Reusing an internal 3.5" HDD as a portable external drive
• Transferring large files between computers with USB Type-C ports

How to use

Open the aluminium enclosure according to the included instructions, insert a compatible 3.5" SATA hard drive into the SATA connector and secure it in place. Connect the enclosure to a computer or other host device using the supplied USB Type-C cable. The host operating system should detect the drive automatically; if necessary, initialize or format the drive in the system disk management utility before first use. When finished, safely eject the drive from the host system before disconnecting the USB cable to avoid data corruption.

Recommendations

Place the enclosure on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation to allow heat dissipation through the aluminium housing. Use the enclosure with drives that match the supported SATA interfaces and avoid dropping or exposing the unit to moisture. For long-term storage or heavy workloads, consider using drives rated for continuous operation and perform regular backups to protect important data.
