HDD/SSD puzdro Synology RX1223RP 12 diskov 2,5/3,5 palcov čierna

The Synology RX1223RP is a 12-bay HDD/SSD enclosure that supports 2.5" and 3.5" SATA drives and enables online expansion of compatible Synology systems. With hot-swap capability and a plug-and-play design, it attaches to a host device to increase raw storage capacity without system downtime. The unit is black, weighs 13.9 kg, and is built for straightforward integration into both personal and professional storage environments.

Advantages

RX1223RP allows seamless capacity expansion by adding up to 12 drives per enclosure and up to eight expansion units to a compatible host, enabling large-scale increases in raw storage. The enclosure supports online storage expansion so volumes can be enlarged or created without interrupting services. Redundant power supplies, modular drive trays and replaceable fans simplify maintenance and improve reliability. Plug-and-play connectivity and integration with Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) streamline deployment and ongoing management.

How to use

Connect the RX1223RP to a compatible Synology host device following the host’s expansion unit connection procedure. Install 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HDDs or SSDs into the modular drive trays and insert the trays into the enclosure; drives are hot-swappable so they can be replaced without powering down the system. Use Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) to recognize the expansion unit, configure volumes, and perform online storage expansion as needed.

Recommendations

For optimal reliability and performance, use Synology-certified drives and follow the host NAS compatibility list. Maintain redundant power and replace modular components (trays, fans) promptly when indicators show maintenance is required. When planning capacity, account for RAID configuration and filesystem overhead to estimate usable storage.
